Join us for a fun evening of art and wine with Edinburgh artist Suzanne Kemplay.
With hands-on help from Suzanne, you will learn how to create your very own Scottish Colourist still life or landscape painting while enjoying a glass of wine. And we think you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve!
Suzanne has always loved the Scottish Colourist paintings: “I see them as part of my heritage. They have a freshness and vibrancy that makes me feel the passion they had for painting. I would like to be able to communicate some of that experience to others.”
The term ‘Scottish Colourists’ refers to four painters: Peploe; Fergusson; Hunter and Cadell; and has a close connection to Edinburgh with all artists except Hunter having being born into Edinburgh families.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and no experience is needed. Suzanne will talk you through the process, and show you how to mix colours and apply paint. Images will already have been drawn out to help you get straight to work and have fun playing with paint.
Price: £45 per person including all materials plus complimentary wine and nibbles. And of course you’ll take home your finished painting to inspire you to continue!
Please note that The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor space and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Please inform us of any skin or food allergies before booking.
